Dior Gipsy Bag

I not only anticipate the coming spring for the warmer climes but also for the deluge of new fashion goodies. Unveiled by Dior this Spring/Summer is the new Gipsy line. The perforated leather ruffles and the shape does look interesting. It is also hip, trendy and - young. If you're on the wrong side of the legal age of 21 like me, this bag would be difficult to pull without you looking juvenile. Which is probably why they have another bag for this line sans the ruffles:

While I find this version a tad more appropriate for the mature woman, it is also a little too staid for my taste. I'm betting I can find this design and style in any high street store like Zara, Mango and the like but without the staggerring £££'s. Jeepers, woman! - you say, you're one tough cookie to please! Perhaps, but I just expect something more from Dior.

The Dior Gipsy Ruffles Medium Hobo is £895 while the Gipsy Medium Hobo is £755 at Dior.
